The YMCA has launched a Gift card give away, if you refer a parent to the program, both receive a gift card. The YMCA after school program is operating (in-person and virtually) and are still accepting new applications for elementary and middle school students to join. Please consider joining if you’re able. We hope to all be back to working abs full time in-person schooling one day soon and we’d like to still have the ymca after-school program as an option for us. To help sustain this program, we can enroll our children now, in-person or virtually as a way to support.
Elementary Section / Grades K-5: Due to COVID-19 Vanderbilt YMCA/COMPASS operates Monday -Friday in person service 2:00pm to 5:00 pm. Remote service from 2:30pm-4:30 pm. Children in the Y receive a cold snack , homework help, expressive arts, SEL and elective classes that supports STEM, ELA, Math, Social Studies, that aligned with the Common Core Standards. In addition, the Y provides Holiday Camp when school is closed (selected Holidays) & Summer Camp. We offer, cold snack, a club-based activities that provides engaging and enriching activities based on the current Common Core, Math Club, STEM, and literacy standards in education. Students select clubs based on their interests, and pick 4 different elective periods over the span of the school year.
